Yes, I Bought Teds Woodworking Plans
Well, I took the bait. I actually purchased Teds Woodworking Plans – partly out of curiousity, but also with the thought that I might find a new plan or learn something new.
I’ve been building cabinets and furniture for nearly 20 years, and I’m always looking for something new to build. But honestly, I’m tired of looking through stacks and stacks of projects in woodworking magazines and books. In fact, my wife made me throw out a bunch of old woodworking magazines that were piling up – I had no way to search them – and they just sat on the shelf.
So, with a bit of hesitation, I bought the plans. The sales page is a bit over-the-top, but the unconditional money back guarantee was reassuring – I had nothing to lose.
My first reaction – I was really interested in the claim of 16,000 plans – was disbelief. There’s a ton of plans all conveniently organized by category with detailed instructions. Thankfully, the plans can be downloaded by category – this will help you find projects easily. Otherwise, it might take a couple of hours to download everything.
Shaker clocks I built from Teds Woodworking Plans
I really don’t know if there are 16,000 plans, and I haven’t spent the time to check. In any event, for me, I like building Shaker furniture, and there is no shortage of Shaker plans in the collection.
Beginners will also like all the videos included in the package. Teds videos – over 150 in all – are a great bonus, especially for beginners.
A few other bonuses are included, but to be honest, I haven’t even taken the time to look at them all.
So if you’re looking for woodworking projects and plans, and you’re on the fence, I’d say get these. There’s a ton of woodworking plans – plus the bonuses! Everything is step by step. And it may seem expensive at $67, but, you’ll spend just as much on a couple of books or videos. I’ve purchased a lot of Norm Abram videos in the past, and that can get expensive very quickly. Hey, I like Norm, though – learned a lot! He helped me start a woodworking business!
